SMALL CLASSES MAKE A?BIG IMPACT
Anne James credits her small classes at SFA for her success as a registered nurse. More than a decade after graduating from SFA, she still remembers fondly the one-on-one attention she received from SFA faculty members like Dr. Sara Bishop. The encouragement from Anne’s professors in the School of Nursing helped her persevere even when her courses grew challenging. She also discovered her love for labor and delivery nursing while at SFA and has turned it into a successful career.
Anne James, BSN RN, Class of 2004
At SFA, we believe students benefit greatly from hands-on learning in and out of the classroom.
Transformative experiences are at the core of our academic philosophy.
Meet Our Students
“What we learn in class really comes into play into our clinical. I really get an educational background on how to assess, plan, intervene and evaluate patients.”
In her time at SFA, Rana Ryan did more than earn a nursing degree. She was named to the May 2016 All-Southland Conference 3rd Team (1,500m run) and the January 2017 Southland Conference Commissioner’s Honor Roll.
